Iโ€™m a Software Engineer and Positive Psychology & Mindset Coach-in-training and I’m creating Curiously Code which is a skills and mindset coaching platform and community for early careers and professionals from underprivileged backgrounds to upskill, grow personally and professionally and connect with people and opportunities in the technology industry.

The main mission and vision of Curiously Code is to break down the barriers of social mobility in the technology industry to create a more accessible technology industry, inclusive of all people regardless of their backgrounds.

๐Ÿ’ฌ More About Me ๐Ÿ’ฌ

I am also a Software Engineer at Butternut Box ๐Ÿถ. By day ๐ŸŒ‡, I build software with Ruby code ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ปand all that jazz. I also love building things with the C# programming language and learning about the application of Machine Learning & AI for positive environmental and social impact.

As a Tech Content & Workshop Creator & Mentor, I help people engage with technology in fun and practical ways, whether theyโ€™re just starting out or looking to improve their skills at any stage of their careers. I am passionate about creating things for tech education and love sharing my experiences with the community to encourage others to learn and grow in their technical skills and confidence.

Since my career switch into tech, I have had exposure to C#, Ruby, Java and Python, as well as DevOps and cloud technologies on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Iโ€™m also a former Code First Girls Volunteer Python Instructor where I taught the 8-week Introduction to Python Programming courses. I have also created and delivered programmes on Software Engineering Fundamentals and Backend Engineering for Java and created materials for a C# programme during my time as a Tech Coach at Tech Returners. Nowadays, youโ€™ll see me create fun stuff for Curiously Code, take part in Tech Skills Workshops, where my friends and I run free workshops for the community or hanging around at Codebar.

By night ๐ŸŒƒ and on the weekends, you can find me doing all sorts of outdoor activities ๐Ÿ’ช ๐Ÿฅ‹๐Ÿ„๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ, or something random like playing video games ๐Ÿ‘พ๐ŸŽฎ and doing some Instax photography ๐Ÿ“ท !
